Christmas in July Wedding

Hello,
Has anyone done a Christmas in July Wedding and have suggestions on what to do for party favors by chance? I am looking into a good idea for this. Please let me know of any suggestions you might possibly have. Thank You

    Seriously, OP, Lia is right. Don't try to make it a Christmas in July "theme."  Have Christmas colors if you want, but if you theme your wedding up, it can end up looking like a birthday party or Prom. 

    I was serious about the cookies, though. My other suggestion was going to be Christmas cookies, but I was trying not to encourage the theme. It would probably look odd if you did Christmas cookies and didn't have OTHER Christmas elements, too. So that's why I said red and green cookies. Edible is usually the best way to go for favors.

    Yeah theme weddings are stupid in general, IMO. The theme should be 2 people that love eachother- it's not a freakin bat mitzvah.

    I thought Christmas in July was a furniture sale theme.

    This whole thing is going to be cheesy as can be, but I guess candy canes?

    I was going to say candy canes also.

    Honestly though, if you are going to have a theme wedding it should be subtle and you shouldn't have to try hard at all.  We were recent newcomers to Philadelphia and as we went on realized we were having a Ben Franklin theme wedding.  Not because we hired an impersonator or gave out keys and kites as favors but because the man had a quote for everything.  We had quotes on the programs, on bookmark favors, attached to the bottle of beer in the welcome bag at the top of the sheets of paper in our guest book and on our TY notes.  We even used "Declaration of Independence...on second thought" for the STD and the first words of the preamble of the Constitution for the invites (We the people, in order to form a more perfect union....what a great idea".

    GLB, I love that! That's kind of how our river rock "theme" happened. We didn't think of it as a theme, but more of a unifying element: rocks in the centerpieces, rock guest book, rock escort cards, and chocolate rocks favors.
