How Was Everyone's Holidays?

My family celebrates both hanukkah and christmas, and my birthday is 2 weeks after christmas- so naturally this is my favorite time of year :-P

FI and I went to my aunt and uncle's house for christmas eve and had a great time hanging out with my grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins. We spent a good amount of time talking to my other cousins in Washington State, California, Texas and Germany via Skype too :-)

We basically spent christmas day being lazy, lol. I finished up season 3 of United States of Tara.

What did everyone else do?

    We started celebrating Christmas early this year we had tons of family that we had to go visit. FI and I decided to do our Christmas on Friday. Most of Saturday was spent wrapping, baking, and taking care of some last min gifts I had to pick up. Then Sunday we had a pretty lazy morning. By the time it was noon we went to FI mom's house then a few hours later we went to my dad's house. I must say I am so ready for my house to go back to normal.

    Christmas was sublime. It was my first with FI's parents and sister, and I really felt welcomed into their home, family, and traditions. We exchanged lots of unnecessarily awesome gifts, watched A Christmas Story and It's a Wonderful LIfe, had an amazing ham dinner, drove around to look at Christmas lights, and just enjoyed each other's company. All perfect. =)

    Awesome Christmas! FI and I spent it with my parents.  Christmas eve we went the the Boston Pops Christmas concert and then out to dinner.  Yesterday we spent the day at home opening presents, eating a lot, and drinking (maybe a lot?).  Family friends joined us later in the evening.  It was lovely.

    Christmas was very nice this year! My family and my fiance's family spent the weekend together.  My fiance's family is involved with a homeless ministry so some homeless men were bussed up to the site where its based and we held a brunch and handed out stockings.  The night ended with exchange of Christmas gifts back at my fiance's grandma's house...truly a great time :-)
