Halp! I need opinions re: gift stuff

My SIL just told me what she bought for Emma:  the musical toy table that she already has.  And I listed the (two big) things that we already have for her in an email.  AND there are plenty of pics on my FB of Emma with the table.

I don't know what to do.  Do I say something?  Take it and try to exchange it (it's from Amazon)?  Take it and leave it at my DH's parents' house for her to play with on occasion?

The kicker is that I just took a video of Emma pulling herself up on the table and wanted to post it on FB later.  I don't want her to see it and feel bad, but I guess she maybe doesn't pay attention to my pics too much, huh?

    If she told you she bought it, I wouldn't feel bad about letting her know she already has one. In fact, if I were you, that's exactly what I would do---I'd tell her I appreciated the gesture, but that Emma already has one. 

    It's either that, or be stuck with an extra one. 

    Oh, and post the video!!

    Did she tell you in email?  I would write back something like "Oh my God, great minds think alike!  We actually already got that for Emma and she LOVES it..."

    She IMd me and sent me a link.  And then went to watch a movie with my brother.  But I know she already bought it and had it shipped.

    Blahhhh.

    I need to get the video off our (super fancy, nice) camera and upload it.  She can't pull all the way up, but she can get on her knees.  It's cute!

    Man I hate that. I'd honestly just tell her so you don't have to worry about posting vids/photos on FB or about her finding out from someone else. Just write her back and be like "Wow I'm so thankful you did that for us but unfortunately we already have it!"

    I hate making feel badly, so I would probably accept it and say something like "Oh, that's so amazing, she loves the one she has, it'll be great to have one at her grandparents."

    Or maybe you could play dumb that SIL got the exact same one. Maybe send her pics and say something "Oh Emma loves those table things, look at how much she enjoys this one."

    Either way, then the return is sort of up to your SIL. I mean, what if the return policy is really weird and she can't return it but feels terrible?
