    I plan on tipping all of my vendors, seeing as though they do a good job on the day of.

    Here is what TK's wedding tipping cheat sheet says.

    Wedding Photographer/Videographer

    You're not expected to give your shutterbugs any dough beyond their normal fees. Yet if the wedding photographer or videographer doesn't own the studio, consider tipping each person (or give a certain amount with a thank-you note to disperse to staff).
    Protocol: Unnecessary, unless the photographer is not the studio owner.
    The $tandard: $50 - $200 per vendor
    When to Tip: At the end of the reception.

    I did not tip my photographer because quite frankly, she was expensive.  But I do talk her up and recommend her on my local board every chance I get and I gave her rave reviews on Wedding Wire.

    tipping is overrated, but of course is always appreciated. As stated in previous posting, if the photographer is the owner, they are getting a majority of the money from the wedding anyway. I would leave it at that and give them praise when praise is due. A great review and recommendations go a lot further than a tip. You should always tip an assistant or 2nd photographer though.
