Hey ladies! What does everyone have planned for this weekend?

My to do list:
1- Get myself organized (I'm OCD about organization and I've been a little off my game lately)
2- DIY gold mercury glass votives
3- Contact florist and bakery to pay deposits and get contracts
4- Register at BBB
5- Shellac manicure (LOVE shellac!)

Hmm, nothing wedding related, haha. My MOH is in town so I'm hanging out with her right now. Sat I'm working, then babysitting another BM's son while she takes her daughter and sister to the Big Time Rush concert, then going out on the town :-) I'm sure wedding stuff will be a topic of conversation though. MOH and BM were starting to plan my bachelorette party yesterday, haha.

Well I got more fabric to keep working on my flowers! Otherwise not much, some friends are coming out to visit so just relaxing! Oh I do need to finish addressing my STD's!

You are really on the ball! Since mine is a renewal, I imagine I have a lot less to do than most of you. I'm still looking around the internet and developing my vision for our renewal. That's taking longer than I imagined, but I've always been the indecisive sort when it comes to decorating ANYTHING. LOL

One thing renewal-related I plan to do this weekend is research makeup tips for those who are VERY blond and blue-eyed. I plan to hire a photographer for our event and want my girls (ages 13 and 11) to have a bit of makeup on. My oldest has chestnut hair, brown eyes, and a medium-ish peachy skin tone. My 11 yo has light ash-blonde hair, robin-egg blue eyes, and white as a sheet skin tone. I've seen some people with this combo really look awful in their makeup and I suspect it's just because they needed different colors than they chose. Plus, I want the girls to look like themselves in the photos, not like they could be on an episode of Toddlers in Tiaras, you know?

I am meeting with our videographer to finalize a contract and I am getting some of the centerpiece decor done. I convinced my sister to help this weekend, so hopefully we get a lot done. We are also booking our hotel for our Walt Disney World honeymoon next October. We love Disney and booking early is a must.

Save the dates are going out this weekend! So exciting!

I also found some flower girl dress that I love! on sale for $13!

The rest of the weekend will be watching Olympics and cooking great BBQ. Up next I think is going to be some DIY projects, even tho my FI thinks it too early to start those.

My Flower girls are going to carry wands with ribbons. So nothing too big but something I could get out of the way. Once we have the seating plan together I'm going to make a cool seating chart. And then we'll probably need something for escort cards/name tags at the tables. I'm still undecided if we'll have programs/menus at the wedding but I know it's way to early for that.

Are you planning anything?

Janna that dress is so cute! I sometimes secretly wish my friend would have had a little girl instead of the little boy that will be our RB so we could do the cute tutu dresses! She has a daughter that will be our junior BM (her choice of title) but she will be 9, so a little too old for that cutesy stuff :-)

Your DIY plans sound fun, Janna! I'm just now getting a good idea of what I want our decor to be, so I'm a bit behind on planning. I'd like to do our invites and placecards, for sure. There is no telling what I'll end up throwing in along with that! :)

We finally have a weekend off together to cross off some things on the wedding to do list. This morning we did our engagement photo shoot, after that we made a trip to Ikea to get some home things and a couple of vases and picture frames i wanted to pick up to play around with for the wedding. We have our centerpieces finalized now which feels great! After we got home he decided he wanted to get motivated and knock out some wedding crafts. This is our weekend list....
1. Spray paint the boxes for card box.
2. Paint giant initial letters.
3. Meet with videographer for contract.
4. Finish decorating cardbox

We also signed the photobooth contract and the ceremony site contract this week. Yay!
