Awww...I love your BF's dachshund! My grandma breeds them and I have a dachshund (Charlie) but he is a wired hair. They don't allow pets at my apartment though so he lives with my parents.

    Hi - welcome aboard!

When my brother got married 8 years ago, we joked that we had to tell both him and my now SIL that their wedding started 1/2 hour earlier to make sure they both made it on time.

Good.  :)  I do something like that where you slice the potatoes really thin and cover them with olive oil and herbs then put cheese on top (I love raclette but it can be hard to find) and stick them in the oven. Yummy :) Welcome Welcome!  Hope you stay around.

    Welcome!

I'm the tardy half of my relationship.  BF has been guilty of fudging on times to be somewhere, too.

I had loaded mashed potatoes at TGIF Friday night.  mmmmm.

Welcome! I'm the tardy half of my relationship for sure. I'm almost always 10 minutes late, so I'd love it if BF would fudge on times. I chalk my lateness up to optimism. For example: it will only take me 45 minutes to get ready (yeah right)... it's only 15 minutes away (if I get every green light)... Parking won't be bad (uh huh).

I usually run a few minutes late to everything, but nothing drastic.  BF is always militantly on time (not surprising, right?).  Down here, everything runs 30-75 minutes late.  One time BF rushed me out the door to arrive at 7:55pm for a friend's 8:00pm birthday party... turns out the reservation was actually for 8:30pm, so we were stuck sitting around and waiting for anyone else to show up.  It took until 9pm for the birthday girl to even show up.  Really, really annoying.

I also have one friend who is consistently 45-90 minutes late to EVERYTHING.  It drives me nuts!  We set her up on a blind date last weekend, and told her to meet at our house at 5pm (we had planned to meet up for drinks with BF's friend at 6:30pm, so plenty of time, right?  Wrong).  She showed up at the site at 7:15pm.  2 hours and 15 minutes late.  Yep, no joke.  And she was led to believe that he was arriving at 5pm.  Talk about a bad first impression!

In other news, hello tmacwin!  You have a very cute dog.  I also have a glass of wine waiting for me when I get home in the evenings - it's a wonderful thing!  That's so cool that you have a twin.  How does your twin get along with your BF?

Thanks for all of the warm welcomes!

Calindi, that's pretty bad of your friend to be THAT late.  I don't know what I'd do if Calvin was always pushing our timing back that much!  He has gotten much better on routine events we go to, so I'm usually only dealing with it for random events.  Thankfully, both my twin and my older sister get along with bf--and my parents too.  We could already be one big happy family...hehe.

Abigail, who is your favorite group in red dirt music?  My personal fave is Aaron Watson.  I think he's starting to recognize my sisters and I at his shows because we see him every chance we get!  Did both you and your bf/fi go to OU?  Calvin is a Sooner, but I went to A&M so we have some fun banter during football season (he seems to win out most of the time).

And with all of the cheese love on this board, I just thought I'd have to mention my favorite cheese of all---smoked gouda.  In Dallas, there are a couple of billboards that have a picture of it that say "So Gouda" (so good).  Love it!

I'm the late one in the relationship... I'm 15-20 min late for everything! It drives my bf insane, but he knows that if I need to be on time, I have to be told it starts 30 min earlier than it really does!

Hi and welcome! I love smoked gouda... it has to be the best cheese in the world and your pup is adorable!

Ravenray, he doesn't bark too much.  Mainly if he's outside and see a squirel, he will probably bark it up the tree.  But as far as being yappy around the house--not at all.

Elle, nice to know there is another Texan on the board!  Right now I live in far north Dallas (north of Addison).  My bf lives in the Irving/Las Colinas area.  What part of Houston are you in?
