  • Poke - faerie's sound adorable.  :)

Hey MuSu - is your class over yet?

Thanks, Steffi. That and her shams are the only things in that fabric. Her room is actually really cute: chunky black furniture, that bedding, pink carpet, green accents and a huge window seat. The carpet looks fine but is crummy quality. It will look good until she's sick of it. We have a chunk of the really cushy neutral in the rest of the upstairs set aside for when that happens.

  • wtf is a 4D picture? I am fairly certain we can't see 4 dimensions? lol.
    image
  • Poke, you should just insist to your H that you get to redecorate your room like that. It would be totally acceptable. :)
  • I LOVE yellow and gray.

So, I've been coughing all day.  We went to swim laps, and I was fine.  I wasn't congested, I didn't cough at all.  As soon as I jumped in the shower after, I started coughing, and now I can't stop.  DAMN IT DEATH COLD GO AWAY.

I'm excited though, I planned workouts into my week and wrote them in my planner.  I miss enjoying working out.

    <div>Straight from Wikipedia, since I don't know the answer:</div><div>
</div><div>"<span style="background-color:#ffffff;color:#000000;font-family:sans-serif;font-size:13px;line-height:19px;text-align:-webkit-auto;">4D fetal ultrasounds are similar to 3D scans, with the difference associated with time: 4D allows a 3-dimensional picture in real time, rather than delayed, due to the lag associated with the computer constructed image, as in classic 3-dimensional ultrasound."</span></div>
  • I think those 3D/4D ultrasounds are creepy.  I don't want one.

  • Yeah Loops, I finished a week and a half ago. :) Super happy!

  • I totally would. We're halfway there. He has accepted the fact that our bedroom is going to be green. He is the kind of guy that would have white in the entire house. Not that there is anything wrong with that, but it's NMS.
  • Ok, that makes sense. So it is a 3D picture in essence anyway. I was gonna say, where the heck are people seeing in 4 dimensions? Since theoretically we actually see nothing in 3D anyway.

<div>I get this. They can be very strange, IMO, but EVERYONE I know seems to get one, almost like it's mandatory. </div><div>
</div><div>At 20 weeks when we did the ultrasounds to check for the baby's organ development and gender, the tech suddenly flipped on the 3D ultrasound, and the baby looked so weird to me, and he was still a little alien-ish. I was a litle annoyed that she did that since I didn't want one, but whatevz.</div><div>
</div><div>I get why people want them, but I wanted <em>something</em> to be a surprise.</div>

  • J&K, good for you on working out! I should get off my lazy can and go to the gym. I haven't left the house all day.

  • I agree that they're creepy, but I don't think I'll be able to resist. I can see it now, I'll be sitting there sniffling and going "OMG HE/SHE IS BEAUTIFUL" while H is going "Uh, is that supposed to be a human?"
  • I kind of want to go back to the pool and swim more, just so I can stop coughing.

<div>Haha, he actually doesn't mind different colors and all that, he just wouldn't actually choose it. He didn't like the idea of green at first because it's a "disgusting" color apparently. But I painted my bedroom here a nice deep green and he actually likes it. </div>
  • That sounds great Willy! I love Pink/Black/Green.

One of the jobs I had considered going to school for was ultrasound tech and then getting 3D/4D training. I think that would be a fun job. But, we can't justify me to quit my job and take a pay cut to do that right now. Maybe after he changes jobs.

We hope to be pregnant in a year and we'll get weekly ultrasounds from 5 weeks - 12 weeks when Repre Endocrinology releases us to Maternal Fetal, then I don't know what our schedule will be, it hasn't been discussed. That's kind of overwhelming to me.

  • And speaking of RE:Posts from other threads: J - the PB did improve my mood but I don't know if that's because of the fats or because it's just so damn good.
  • No, Eags, it's my summer Death Cold, but the asthma doesn't help, because once I START coughing, the asthma keeps things going.  I just asked my H to bring me some water and he said "I wish I could bring you some codeine."  Then, of course, I said "I thought you said codeine is worthless in cough medicine."  "shut up and drink your water."
