Soo Confused!

Ok - so I don't know which comes first lol
We are getting married Oct 15, 2011. Planning on getting engagement pics done this Oct. So we send out the Save-The-Dates then what comes next? LoL the more I read on stuff the more confused I get lol

    What comes next as far as overall planning?

    You've got more than enough time to book vendors but it couldn't hurt to start looking at reception sites soon (really popular ones obviously book early) I guess what comes next in your case would be to determine a budget and start saving money.  Ask as many questions as you want, we're here to help!

    Before you do anything at all, you should be determining your budget.  That will drive all of your other decisions.

    Once you have a budget, you determine a tentative guest list.  Then you know the size venues you need, and how much pp you have to spend.  It will also determine the rest of your spending:  attire, invitations and paper, flowers, rings, honeymoon, transportation, photography, entertainment (dj).

    I wouldn't be sending out STDs until you've determined all of the above.  Because once you've sent out an STD, you've committed to inviting those who receive it to also receiving an invitation.  And you need to know how many people you'll be able to afford to invite.
