    I submitted one of my own (boring) and one for a friend because she couldn't while she was at work, and even though hers seems far-fetched, it's actually true. I wouldn't call fake just because something seems off. Lots of people are off!

    But really, I'd only like white collar prison. I'd just sit there and read and stuff. Not the prison where you aren't allowed to have a pen because you might stab your cellmate in the jugular with it.

    The one that scares me the most is the one that says someone on TK kept her from killing herself. If something said in an online forum is powerful enough to save someone's life, something else could be powerful enough to push someone who's suicidal over the edge.

    I swear to God, this also crossed my mind! Like, if I could spend 6mos in a correctional facility or psych ward, I'd lose a crapton of weight, I'd write a book, and I'd eat three times a day, with someone else making it for me. That sounds SO much better than my old life. The only thing I had against it was missing my kids. I think I'm broken!

    I'd rather win the lottery and be able to do all those things, but.... I'm sure there are lots of downsides to prison. Especially after you get out. But my mother used to tell me, "There are people in this world who don't mind going to prison because at least they know where their next meal is coming from." I'm really not sure what her point was.

    We went to visit a local jail one time when I was in college and when I got home I just sat at my table and stared around my apartment. Its so mind boggling to think about what it is like to leave PRISON, not just jail, and come into the free world. Yeesh.

    I was just going through all of these, including the older ones because this is the first I have heard of them. I don't know if this one was addressed in any of the other posts but the one that really scares me is the one about running away with her ex that beat her and left her for dead. I REALLY hope he never comes to her wanting to be with her!
