Recpetion venues in Richmond -- Help!!!

I live out of town and am looking for a cool venue for my reception.  Guest list under 200.  Preferably downtown but will look at all recommendations.

    We had ours in Henrico...Dorey Park-not downtown.  You could look into Richmond or Henrico city venues if you have family or someone that could rent it for you.  Its much cheaper that way.

    Main Station:  a lot of weddings are held here...I think you have to go through Richmond City to rent this.  It looks really neat though....

    We are hosting our reception at the Science Museum Rotunda...Guest list will probably come in somewhere around 175. Karen is really great to work with in general and with paying! PIB under venue.

    Bankuet Place IS small, but beautiful! Main Street Station is awesome too, but starts to get a little crammed with more than 150. I was in a wedding that was here in August- it really is amazing and unique though!  Affordable too.

    we actually booked at "The Place at Innsbrook" in the west end.  It has a nice banquet room for only $1000, and also a garden/ patio area for only $300.  We have changed our wedding plans and decided to go to Antigua for a weddingmoon! So we are actually looking to transfer our contract to someone else who is interested.  We paid the $1300 deposit that is nonrefundable, but we are willing to let it go for only $1000 for both the banquet room and the garden area.     We've booked Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens.  Not only will you have a central location, but guests can wander the gardens should they wish.


    We are having our ceremony and reception there; prices are very resonable.  In house catering only, but no cake cutting fee.  The food is yummy!

    Those are all great places - I was just going to add that the Jefferson Hotel is beautiful and can hold 200+ in their big ballroom.  It's pretty expensive though... 

    We're having ours at the Virginia Crossings Resort - not downtown but it's beautiful.  They can hold up to 200.  All food is included in the price, including a cake by Cakes By Graham.

    We are going to The Reniassance on West Broad. It's Downtown and can do different sizes (we have about 130) and we are doing ceremony and reception there because they have 2 spaces we can use.
    I LOVE the person I am working with there, he is awesome!
