Monday Checks!

Mom and I redid my bouquet, made the altar flower arrangements, made 4 more small centerpieces and figured out we only need 7 more. I have pictures but they're currently hiding in my camera. My bouquet wound up being slightly bigger this time around too. *teehee*

FI and I ordered our champagne flutes last night and I am in love with them.

I'm so glad I found someone who not only puts up with my Disney love but encourages it.

We only need to figure out if we're serving wine before turning the reception venue contract back in.

Tonight I'm going shoe shopping with two of my BMs for their silver shoes, picking up one of their dresses and the other FG sash (that wasn't supposed to be here until May). If we have time, we're going to do a little other shopping for the wedding but the main purpose tonight is to find their shoes.

I had my bridal portraits taken Saturday and we got 3 of the 4 types of beer for the reception.

I had my hair trial on Saturday and Sunday we dropped off the envelopes at the (very pregnant) calligrapher and got all the backings done on the pocket invites. My mom is finishing them up over her spring break next week and on Easter weekend we get to stuff them, whooo hooo!

Oh, and on Sat FI and his BM went and did everything for the tuxes. I told him the color vest/ties I wanted for each group of men and he picked the details. Since our party was big enough we got 2 tuxes for free; so FI and his BM got measured and just paid for their shoes. I think his BM is a jerk and a half; so he's lucky I wasn't there to veto him getting a free one.

Took my grandmother dress shopping (again) and we found one that was absolutely perfect! However, she went somewhere else Sunday and found a dress. At this point I'm just glad she found one!

I'm pretty sure I figured out my shower is this coming weekend! Just waiting to see if my sister shows up on Wednesday or Thursday

FI paid for our wedding rings, and sent mine off to get sized.

Mom bought her dress for the wedding. But she needs to loose a whole dress size before she can wear it. Poor mom....but she did it to herself, and I'm pretty confident she can do it!

We are going to get our marriage license tomorrow!!

It seemed like a wedding filled weekend for me. We chose and ordered our wedding bands on Friday night. Saturday was my first fitting; I was able to decide which jewelry I wanted to wear and return the rest. The only bad thing is that I now have my veil in my apartment and anticipate issues with not wearing it all the time. Sunday I was able to apply the decorative stamp to the invitations and got half the mats glued to the pockets. I would have done more but ran out of glue dots.

Friday I had my wedding hair trial it went nice. I have had a lot of compliments on my sew in. I am getting use to it.

Sunday, My mom and me went to David's bridal to look at bird cage veils. When I arrived home. My FI informed me that he wants to see my face while I am walking down the ailse. He DOES NOT WANT ME TO WEAR A VEIL AT ALL. So, now I am in the process of looking for a decorative hair comb or pin to go in my hair.

Monday morning @ 3:30. I finally remembered that I did not send The president and first lady an invitation. I got out of bed and address a label to put on my post card style invitations. I also made the labels for the BM's personlized nail polish which is going in their tote bags.

I had a wedding meeting with my parent and we went over our "week of schedule." I am working on getting it typed up now. I had most of the "day of" schedule done, but when you are getting married at your parents house, there are like 3483902830 things you need to do the week of as well. It's a lot of work!!

NWR: Our upper cabinets are hung!! They look amazing! FI is working SOOOO hard to get our house done, I am so proud of him!

We had our Jack & Jill on Saturday night. It was a great night of dancing and having fun with everyone.

We also went over reception music last night as we are meeting with our DJ tomorrow.

Lastly, we went over our payment schedule and figured out what needs to be paid and in what order. We are pretty much on top of everything. So glad for that.

Oh! I almost forgot! The church ladies informed me yesterday that they are planning my church shower for April 29th... cant wait!!

I also just ordered these bow ties for our ring bearers from High Cotton Ties.... they are going to be adorable!!

It was a very productive weekend:
--picked out suits for the guys
--looked at wedding bands
--made a master list for everything that needs to be done
--made a week-of list (Chelsea, getting married parent's house is LOTS of work, I agree!!)
--emailed registry info to the person making our dinnerware

I have LOTS to do this week. I think I have a "vendor" meeting every night this week. Including 2 on Thursday. Ahh!! It's so busy right now.

Printed out photos of flowers, hair styles and made lists for my big trip home this weekend to meet with all the vendors. Hopefully we can get it all done in three days! Also lost a pant size- bought 2 pairs of work pants in a size down! So excited.

I also figured out how to incorporate pink into the reception without it looking like a baby shower. We are going to have two shades, a dark and a light, and do that for the plates and use silver silverware. lol.

I got a couple things done this weekend and today which feels good because I feel like I'm getting behind on things!

Talked to my catering manager on the phone for about an hour on Saturday. I got most of the details worked out for the setup of the reception, the menu and the cake. This took a lot of stress off of me because she has been very non responsive and I was starting to REALLY stress about it. It's very hard to plan a wedding from across the country without getting the answers you need!!

I also addressed the the rest of the wedding invites that didn't get calligraphy, stuffed them all, sealed them and put the stamps on them! Dropped them off at the Post Office today and I'm so excited and relieved to have that check done! Now the mail box stalking starts!

Marriage Licence appointment booked! Ordered the mini starfish decorations for our menus. And printed off the menus....now to assemble!! Also picked up our hand fans from the Fedex depot!

Finished the card box! I love how it turned out. I will AW pics when I get home tonight. That's about the only WR thing we did all weekend, my son's birthday party is next week so we were busy getting everything ready.

Also, I forgot to add that we figured out our ceremony readings! We are using "The Union" by Robert Fulghum and "Love" by Roy Croft. Now we just have to figure out who is going to read them! We also got the wording for our ring exchange done.

Met with FI's aunt to discuss our cake.

Finished all of the invitations and stuffed the envelopes - just waiting to get the rest of the stamps from my parents.

Booked flights for my MOH to come home for my bachelorette weekend. I can't wait to spend an entire weekend with her!

My hair trial is tomorrow & bridal shower Saturday!

ETA: My little brother and his girlfriend were engaged on Friday!!
