Groom to walk MOG down aisle???

My future MIL just told my fiance that she would like him to walk her down the aisle at the ceremony. I've never seen this be done before and I don't think it is very traditional. Also, she has 2 stepsons and 1 grandson that are groomsmen that could walk her down instead. What do you think?

I've seen it done, but the groom walked both the MOG and FOG.  It was at a non-typical Jewish wedding too, so I'm totally unaware if that had any part of it?

At my sister's wedding, the MOG insisted that he walk her in... it's definitely not traditional but it made her happy so that's what they did.

Thanks ladies! I think if he makes her happy and my fiance is fine with it we'll do it.

I've seen a variation of this at a few weddings. The Catholic Church we're marrying at actually encourages the groom to walk down with both of his parents and the bride to walk down with both of her parents. We were planning to do this anyway so when the coordinator mentioned this is what they encourage at the church, my FI and I were very happy.

Actually at almost all of the weddings I've been to the groom escorts his mother.
