Flower help... please! :)

Hi everyone!

I need some assistance & I greatly appreciate any feedback you can give.  The next thing on my list of "to do's" are my flowers.  I don't have a big budget for this.  If I could have what I wanted within my budget, I would like tall centerpieces (maybe even alternating tall & short?).  I'm getting married in Perth Amboy & my reception is in Carlstadt.  So, I'm just wondering if any of you suggest any florists (in or between those areas) AND an estimate of how much your spending and for what.  Again, I'm totally clueless about this part.  Thanks in advance!

    I used Avenue Florist in Elizabeth. They were awesome to work with. I paid about 800 for my flowers (my bouquet, 7 BM bouquets, 2 corsages, 9 boutineers, 13 CPs, flowers for 4 baskets and 4 mini boutineers). If you give them a budget, they will work within it. Also, I got my vases separately from Muellers in Newark, they were dirt cheap and helped keep the cost down because all the florist had to provide was the flowers for the CPs. Good Luck.

    Denise, when did you go to Muellers?  I saw this post and I'm always looking for crafty deals, it looks like a great place. I saw some reviews though - seems like they may have closed for business?!

    I went in September. I paid $30ish for 14 vases. They were pretty awesome. They have weird hours though.

    My reception is  in Carlstadt too.  We are using Santo's Florist.  They were very reasonably priced.  Which venue are you having your reception?

    We got low centerpieces from AW Flowers in Kearny. Including the purchase of the vase, they were $23 each.

    I'm using AW Flowers in Kearny as well. VERYYYY affordable. I'm not a big flower person, but he definitely worked with me to see what could work. He did a mock up while i was and i loved it.

    Give them a call.

    I'm using Avenue Florist also!  Nathan is amazing.  He will work with your budget and come up with really creative and awesome flower ideas.  He did a mock up centerpiece for me and it was more than I could have imagined.  And it lasted for over a week!

    I am using AW Flower in Kearny also.  Adam was really easy to work with.  He understood all that I wanted and added ideas.  I haven't seen my mock up yet, but I felt like they are professionals and I am not worried at all about the results.  The price given to me was excellent!  It was the best service I received while looking for a florist and the lowest price I found.

    Im also using AW flowers and in 9 days can give you a review! My centerpeices were beautiful (the mock up) and way below what other florists charged

    I will be meeting with AW Florist, Santos and Metropolitan Plant Exchange in Saddle Brook in the next couple of days....all pretty local to Carlstadt

    I'm also working with AW!  They have been friendly and great so far.  I'll let you know in two weeks if I still feel the same!
