The reception venue we are looking into does not charge for white linens and napkins, is it ok for me to bring my own overlays?

I would say you have to ask them. My venue would allow us to bring in our own chair covers only because they didn't have them to rent.

I agree- you'd have to ask them. They probably won't care, especially if they only have white linens available.

Definately ask them since all venues are differnet. My venue was going to allow us to bring in some overlays for the head tables if we chose, which we decided against in the end anyway.

My caterer supplies the white linens and charges for colored napkins, we are making our own table runners.
