DH and I are going to be in Milwaukee on a Saturday in June. No kids.

I was thinking of making a weekend out of it and getting a hotel for the night and doing something fun the next day. Things I'm thinking about - heading into Chicago for the museum/aquarium, a Cubs game, a day at Six Flags, maybe something local in Milwaukee if anyone has any recommendations. We could even head up early on Saturday and do something during that day as well.

I keep feeling pangs of guilt that our kids would love to do all of those things. We're taking these busters to Disney in September. We can have Milwaukee, right?!?!

Yes. Disney trumps all of that, and they can go to Milwaukee some other time, too. They will still be kids next year, and the year after that, and the year after that....

yes. you need to do this, and the kids will one day be adults and will be able to go do these things without you or their own kids at that time.

but i know the feeling. when we do anything kid friendly without the kid, i think to myself how the little one would love it. but he'll be around for many more fun things, so i don't feel all that bad.

do what you want. milwaukee won't burn down the second you leave so there is time to take them whenever you want.

Get away and have no guilt.

The only 2 things I remember doing in MIlwaukee is the Miller Brewery tour and Summerfest. That was about 10 years ago.
