  Thanks for the recommendation! What I am thinking with the private ranch is a rustic wedding in the country. A place that allows out door ceremonies but also has the ability to move the event indoors if there are any weather issues.

  J and I went to a wedding at Shadowridge Farm in Terrell last year, and it sounds similar to what you're looking for. The ceremony was outside by a lake/pond and the reception was in a converted barn (exposed beams, decomposed granite floor, etc).

  My photographer just posted on his blog a ranch outside of Cleburne. (Evan Godwin) I don't know anything about it, but it looked pretty cute. And it is a brand new venue...called Thistle Springs Ranch.
