Favors

FAVORS

Does anyone know where I can get bookmarks made? I want to have our picture and wedding date on them. I live in Virginia...thanks in advance for your help! :)

Re: FAVORS

  • I'll be honest. My cousin did this, and it went in the trash as soon as I was out the door. Edible is the best way to go for favors. Nobody wants stuff with your pictures, names and wedding date on them.
What did you think would happen if you walked up to a group of internet strangers and told them to get shoehorned by their lady doc?~StageManager14

    People still use bookmarks?

Honestly, everyone I know either reads with a Kindle or the few times a year they do pick up an actual book they wouldn't go searching for an actual bookmark.
  • Yes, a lot of us still read actual books.  I look at a computer screen all day long and prefer paper when I'm reading for relaxation.

OP - I like the bookmark idea.  In fact, we did this but we put a quote on there and had nothing relating to our wedding at all.  I made them out of cardstock and used ribbon to braid a tassel through a hole punch.

  • If it had a quote on it or a pretty picture that was "generic" I would like it but I agree with PP that it probably wouldn't be as much of a crowd pleaser as something edible.

As food for thought, one year I sent out Christmas cards that had a perforated section along the front so that an "accent" part of the picture tore off and became a bookmark.  I liked this "resuse" aspect of the cards....might be something that would work with thank you cards if it was creative enough of a design?

Or if you were planning on using escort cards you could have the bookmarks be an escort card and the favor.....

</div><div>OP - I read books.  If it were a generic bookmark, I'd take it home.  It's probably one of the few non-edible favors I would take.  That said, my DH would not take his, nor would many people I know.  If you want your favor to be a hit, go edible.</div><div>
