Wedding Venue Help Please

Hi, I am newly engaged and so excited! We would like to plan a wedding for summer of 2014, but it is really hard to find the right venue. We had 2 ideas, one is a beach wedding. We like a modern and elegany style though. We looked at Ocean Place in Long Branch, NJ but the ballrooms had no views of the ocean/beach and 2 ballrooms would are right next to each other. Does anyone have any good ideas for a modern venue that does beach weddings in Jersey? We don't want Atlantic City and Asbury Park is more on the trendy side, not quite our style. Or anywhere else close by?

Or if we skip the beach idea, does anyone know of any modern yet elegant hotels/venues in the suburbs of Philadelphia or South Jersey area? We would like to stay away from the city itself.

I appreciate any help! Thank you!

Re: Wedding Venue Help Please

  • Congrats on your engagement!!  We're planning our wedding this September at Tyler Arboretum in Media http://www.tylerarboretum.org/weddings-rentals/weddings/  its not exactly a beach wedding but it sounds like you are looking for something unique and that only hosts one wedding at a time, which is why we chose it.  They have 5 places you can have the ceremony, and the reception is on site.

In case this isnt what you're looking for, I thought i'd pass on a tool introduced to me by my day of coordinator (Jeffrey A Miller Catering includes wedding coordinators in their packages, at the time I thought it wasnt something i would need, but as the day approaches and my stress level rises i am very much looking forward to the help!).  Its called Party Space and it has a follow feature, which allows you to see the caledars of a ton of different venues and you can even get updates if  a date youre looking for becomes available or one you want is booked.  Here's the address: http://partyspace.com/philadelphia/wedding-venues

Hope your planning is going well!

  • The Foundry in Phoenixville is very modern, but books up quickly I've heard.
  • Thank you for your help ladies! I will check these out :)
  • Thank you for the Party Space website! I will definitely be looking into this and seeing if it can help! Have a great day!
