scam?

Hey girls, so question, i got a email..and phone call from DB about winning a free bridal makeover through mary kay. And a contact number for the sales rep in our area with mary kay. I mean ya i enter contests and stuff with davids bridal, so idk, scam or no?

Re: scam?

  • It's not a scam per se but if you "enter," you are guaranteed to "win" if you know what I mean.  They simply call anyone who leaves their information and offer to do their bridal makeup.

MK consultants are salespeople, not makeup artists, if you get my drift.  I am a MK user and while I love their makeup for every day, I don't recommend it for the wedding day.
  • They are really annoying. I used the MK girl and she was constantly contacting me and the girls I brought to my session. It annoyed me so bad that I finally had to tell her I wasn't interest in MK anymore and to please stop contacting me. Some people have better experiences than me but majority of the people I know who have dealt with MK consultants say the same thing

  • They don't do your makeup just try to guilt you into buying stuff!!!

  • I got the same phone call telling me I had "won".  I ignored it.  As PP have said they will try to sell you their products.  If you like MK than go ahead.

  • That's funny you mention this. There are 2 DB locations near me and I got called by 2 different MK consultants. I never returned their calls or texts because they will try and pressure me into having some kind of party and I don't have the time or desire to do that.

  • There makeup sucks. Im a MK consultant. It's a skin care company not a makeup company.
