Invitations are out!

Phew, it's been a busy week. We had a huge meeting with the florist and made some decisions for the ceremony and reception music. Best of all, our invites went out and we've already gotten back 4 rsvps!!! So exciting. How are you guys doing with your plans?

Congrats!! I finally broke down n went with a florist, I just don't want the headache day of. Invitations went out, we recieved around 10 rsvps so far, my final fitting is in two weeks, I have programs and favors to assemble...I'm probably forgetting something but I can't think of it right now

Yay! Ours went out at the beginning of the month and I'm up to about 22 RSVP's, but my friends are terrible at planning early, so I'll get a ton at the end of October.

I just had my final dress fitting and it's now at my mom's house, just ordered our wine box for our wine ceremony, met with my florist to make final decisions, have our tasting and huge meeting with the venue on the 2nd and also meeting to plan rehearsal dinner then, just ordered our cake topper, I'm working on our place cards right now. We can't print programs until right before the wedding because one of my BM's is having a kidney removed on the 3rd and has a 4-6 week recovery time, but if they end up not doing it robotically or something, it'll be a much longer recovery, so I have a friend who is going to be an "alternate" (long story with her) that will be able to jump in and take her spot, so I have to wait until I know who is in my WP.

I have one week left before my rsvp cutoff date, only becuase I know with my work schedule it's going to take a few days to track everyone down, and we have to have the floor plan submitted a month in advance and don't want too many or not enough seats! My FMIL is trying to get me to do only one fitting, I keep telling her with my trying to lose weight and how I constantly change size anyway, one is not going to work and stress me out WAY too much. Hopefully I can get the favors ordered as soon as the final count is in, and we still have to book our cake baker, but we're working on music and stuff in the meantime. Hopefully tomorrow I can get some bouquets knocked out along with finishing my flower girl basket, and hopefully be able to afford the material for the wraps I'm making for my girls

What are you ladies doing for bridemaids gifts? I've had a few ideas but nothing solid yet..

we have had our invites out for about a week and we have ~50/250 responses. its so exciting to get those back! my FMIL is our florist and we are going to visit FI's family next weekend so we will be trying out a few bouquet ideas. she will be buying the flowers wholesale in rochester, NY and bringing them to pittsburgh for the wedding a few days early so we will have about 12 hours to do all the bouquets and prep the centerpieces. crazy! but our centerpieces are not very floral so it shouldnt take too much time. i am working out the details with our favors, still need to get earrings for the BMs, type up programs, get the marriage license...AHHH it feels like a lot. i know it will come together. good luck all!

We've had ours out for a couple weeks. Our responses are going back to my parent's house because it was easier but every day it is fun for my mom to open the mailbox. She's been emailing me or I've been calling her. On the days we haven't gotten anything...it is sort of disappointing. LOL.

Had a crazy week also but our invites went into the mail on Thursday! Big relief. I've had one fitting and have another scheduled for next week. My MOH will be coming to it so they can show her how to side bustle my dress. In case anyone needs to find the right bra to wear with their dress, I recommend going to Lady Grace if you have one near you. My seamstress recommended them to me and I had a great experience there. Now I'm all ready for my next fitting! Also met with the florist for the second time yesterday and I feel like the flowers are all set.

Oh exciting with the invitations!

Wedding things seem to be picking up a little more the last week or so. I think I already did a posting recently on it, but again we are:

1) first dress fitting done - getting it back to try on Oct 15

2) Church programs are purchased. The minister proofread our program, approved it, so we are good to print whenever we want. Got our readers lined up and readings picked out.

3) A few still have to get their tuxes fitted

4) Going to order favours next week (first week of Oct)

5) waiting on 13 invites to be sent back, work in progress. We know half are coming, the other half we have no idea

6) have to book an appt with the florist and print off some pictures to show her.

That's all I can think of right now to be honest. I am behind in my "knot timeline" but a lot of it is just little things. I know I had to program into my phone all of my things to do in Oct and Nov, if not I would never remember any of it.

People are SLACKING on our rsvps!!! We put our date as 10/1 as our venue needs a headcount no later than 10/9...I am going to be calling SO MANY PEOPLE next week.

It's super fun to see them come back though!

Dropped my dress off for alterations and pick that up on the 10th.
Have our final meeting with our reception venue on the 9th.
Sending off our marriage license application next weekend.
Still need to get FI his outfit (he bought one but now he wants something else...)
Still need to get RINGS and that is on the agenda for this week!
Otherwise I think I MIGHT be down to just escort cards for DIY projects! Woohoo!

- Get marriage license (going on Wednesday)

- Buy parent and attendant gifts (3 gifts down, 4 to go)

- Make escort cards and seating chart (still waiting on 49 responses)

Ours came in pretty good the first couple of weeks, then they trickled in for about 2 weeks. Once the RSVP date came, for an entire week we were getting for sure 2-3 back per day, one day we had about 5 or 6 back at once. 2 weeks after, now it is slacking a bit. We need 13 invites to be returned, of those 13 we know for sure 3 of the invited couples are going but they are just slack in returning the RSVP. The rest, who knows. I figure half of the remaining are going.

But I know, its frustrating waiting.

</div><div>Not sure how much you've browsed other boards on TK, but this is highly frowned upon. You should not replace a bridesmaid for any reason. Print your programs now with her listed as a BM. If she can't make it, just leave it as is.

Why in the world would you do this? It's incredibly rude to the "runner up". Your sides don't have to be even. Just leave the original bridesmaid in the program. If she's not able to make it, wish her well....but for goodness sake don't replace her!!

Well some invites went yesterday, some in the mail today, some being delivered tomorrow and the rest this week. I got 1 RSVP back but she had alsready RSVP'd from the STD LOL.

I am so busy but things are getting done. Saw my dress again today: it is GORGEOUS. Cannot wait to wear it. I go for my 1st fitting on Saturday. Fmil is ordering my cake topper and will bring it for me the first week of November. Need to figure out if I'll order the champagne flutes or get them here. And need to personalize the cake serving set. There are other little details to take care off too. Oh and this weekend , going to pay the deposit on the transportation.

some invites are out from Sunday hope to have the rest deliver by the weekend. Girls are doing their fitting on Sunday, I'll be doing my second fitting. Programme is completed but have to let the Pastor check it over. Centerpieces are still up in the air hope to finalize by Saturday. Marriage licence is schedule for next week. Hope to order favors sometime next wow so much more to go, personalize servers, flutes and other stuff.
