I did something tonight that I swore I wouldn't do...I hired a DOC.  I am so happy she had my date open.  I was laying in bed at like 2am, not sleeping, totally stressing out about how the day of my wedding would go with the setup and everything since our wedding starts so early and I got online and read review after review after review and cross referencing that with one's that fit my budget and bam, found my DOC.  I am already a million times less stressed then I was just a week ago!  Yay!

    Yeah it was money I wanted to put toward the honeymoon but in the end to be able to know things will be taken care of and setup that day without me being the one doing it makes her worth every penny! Having our wedding at a private residence an being 100% responsible for everything it's te best thing I could have done

    I guess I technically have a DOC. Someone posted link a while back (don't know which board) about hiring a friend to take care of things and people were like, "OH, that's so rude." Nope - to me, totally not. My sister has a friend that wasn't invited to the wedding (and wouldn't expect to be) and I asked if she would be willing to just be there and help set up things, as needed. Make sure the escort cards are out, favors are set, florist is able to get in, etc. The venue provides a person for the entire reception, but I just wanted someone who I knew and trusted personally with any set up that needed to be handled.

    She was thrilled. I'm happy to give her some extra $ and know she is organized and able to handle things.

    So, don't worry now about the small stuff! You will have extra help!

    My MOH is a wedding coordinator lucky, right?! When she isn't on me about getting things done NOW (I'm a procrastinator), I feel like the luckiest bride in all the land!
