What is the proper amount of time to allow guests to RSVP? How many weeks before the wedding do you make your cut off date?

    We have to give all of our vendors a final guest count two weeks before the wedding, so we set the RSVP date for four weeks before the wedding (two weeks before guest count is due). That way I will have plenty of time to track down those who haven't responded and still get the final guest count to the vendors in time.

    I'd go about 1 week to 10 days max before your vendor needs the final count.  This give you time for people who mail it back on the RSVP date and a couple of days for you to call anyone who hasn't replied in time.  Any sooner than that and people might not know their schedule
