Long Island, queens Brooklyn manhattan on a budget

I am a bride to be on a VERY tight budget. We were looking to have our wedding on Thurs, July 3, 2014 in hopes that a Thursday night would save us some money. We were also wondering what an all cocktail hour event would cost us. We are expecting about 150 guests. We were looking in Queens, Long Island, Brooklyn, Westchester. Does anyone have any venue suggestions. We Are looking to spend less than $50 per person. Any Input is greatly appreciated!

    Try Plattdeutche in Franklin Square.  It's kind of no frills, but the food and service are great and with the right decorations the place can look really nice.  You can also try Verdi's of Westbury (or Whitestone if it's a smaller wedding)--really great Italian food, but I think it's going to be really close to your budget and I'm not sure if it will be under $50pp.

    I didn't look at either place for my wedding so I'm not sure on their wedding prices, but I've had other events there in the past and they're both probably in or close to your price range.
