Listing grandparents in program who are alive but absent

Our alive, well-enough-to-travel grandparents are listed as part of the wedding party, and our deceased grandparents are listed as "In Memory Of".  My fiancee and I have, between the two of us, two grandparents who are still alive but not well enough to travel to the wedding. We are struggling with how to mention them in the ceremony program.  Any ideas?

Re: Listing grandparents in program who are alive but absent

  • I listed his like this:
    Grandparents of the groom....Grandma's name
                                               Grandparent's names
                                               (attending in spirit from Arizona)

    *fingers crossed the formatting remains*

The grandma lives here and will be in attendance, his other set are not able to make the trip.

I only had one living grandparent so she's just listed on her own. In the "In memory of" section I listed the other set "Name and Name Lname, the bride's maternal grandparents"
  • I had a friend who listed her grandparents(or her H's) who were unable to attend their wedding by saying something about 'Those unable to celebrate with us today' and than had a 'In Memory' for thosr who passed.
