We are having a destination wedding with a fairly limited guest list. My aunts want to throw me a family shower and invite some distant family members who will not be invited to the wedding. These family members are closer to my mom's/aunts' generation and they are typically invited to showers/weddings. Do I tell my aunt to scratch them from the guest list?
