Engagement Pictures....

How many of you ladies have already taken your engagement pictures? I have yet to do it and i was thinking about doing them sometime between October and December... 

When are you taking yours?

    My fiance and I already took ours and ordered our save the dates! My family lives out of town so I had to get our save the dates out ASAP

    We're scheduled for the end of October.  I took FI shopping this past weekend for outfits and it was near impossible to get him to pickout a nice outfit.  We did it though, can't wait for pictures.

    We weren't planning on it. There's some nice pics we took the day he proposed we were going to use. But I have a coworker that's into photography that offered to do them for cheap (like $20, it's more for her portfolio than anything) and I figured why not, it'll be fun and if they don't turn out we don't need to use them. We need to get them done soon while it's fall and not 30 below.

    @FiancB, we originally weren't planning to do engagement photos, either but the session comes as part of our photography package so we said, what the hell! We're both looking forward to it, but I can;t decide what to wear....shopping! :)

    A friend/former coworker of my fiance's does photography on the side. He took our engagement pictures this summer before my fiance went back to school. Last month, we were trying to work out a time when my fiance was going to be in town and we could meet with him to get our pictures. His computer crashed right before that while he was finishing up editing them, but he thought our pictures were safe. But after trying every possible way to recover them, he told us last night that he just couldn't.

    It's not the end of the world. We can redo pictures next month when fiance is in town, but we did them at the park where we love to hike on the most beautiful day this summer. The sky was blue, the sun was sparkling off the lake, everything was gloriously green...and the photographer kept telling us how beautiful the pictures were and how he couldn't wait for us to see them. And now I never get to. :(

    Plus, now I have to hope for the leaves to stick around so everything isn't dead and bare, or try to come up with another place to do them, along with figuring out new outfits. I do not need things put back onto my to-do list right now!

    (And that was about how my whole week went--a bunch of stinky things that weren't horrible or terrible, but really annoying and frustrating.)

    We are getting ours done October 26th. I can't wait I hope they turn out good. But it's going to be in the 40s for ours. Hope we don't look like we are freezing our butts off.

    Ours are scheduled for Nov 3 :) We'll make the save the dates out of them and then we're going to make a book on shutterfly (or a site like it) that will double as our guest signing book. Gotta get the kids hair cuts and find outfits, I love photo shoot days <3 good luck!

    Argh! Stuck in the box!

    If you get your dress at David's Bridal, you get a code for a free shutterfly photobook (9x12, I think). They have guestbook templates on the website, and some of them are really nice. You still have to pay taxes and shipping (and their shipping is UNBELIEVABLY expensive, especially since it just came in a cheap bubble mailer), but the book looks great and it was still cheap. Totally worth it. 
    I have our guestbook ordered from Shutterfly. 

    I didn't get anything from DB for Shutterfly, although my bridal party did.

    I'm trying to find another outfit that's dressy but not sure what to get.
