Impressed with Jared's

This morning I noticed I had lost one of the side diamonds in my e-ring.  Thank goodness FI had bought the extended service plan at Jared's when he bought my ring!!

I took it in around 1pm, they noticed that another side diamond was loose, and had it repaired and ready for me to pick up by 5pm.

We almost didn't even look at rings at Jared because I cannot stand their advertising.  But I am so glad we did.  Can't say enough good things about the Jared's in G-boro!

I wish I could "like" this.  Glad you had a good experience.

Did they say why the setting was loose?  Something about the design?  Got any photos of that lovely ring to show us?

This is my first PIP... crossing my fingers it works.  If not, you ladies may need to give me some direction!!

They didn't mentioned what may have caused the stones to be loose.  Kind of concerns me a bit - but thankfully we have coverage for these sorts of things.  :)

Thanks for the tip!  That's a lot easier than the instructions I had found and was trying to follow!

I have also been pleased with Jared so far. DH got my e-ring at Zales & any time we need to get anything done other than a routing cleaning (including rhodium plating & re-sizing) I have to send my ring off for 2 weeks! I have a crown setting (that I LOVE) and I've had loose diamonds several times. It's a real pain to have to send it off. Because of this I refused to get our wedding bands there. We went to Jared and I'm so glad we did (I also hate their advertising)! We both found rings we love & I couldn't be happier with the service & selection. I secretly wish DH would have shopped for my e-ring at Jared but he went shopping in our hometown so he had Zales, Reed's  & a few other similar stores to choose from. It was important to us to go to a chain store because we knew we wouldn't be in NC for long & we would probably live in several states before buying a home.

We got all our rings from the Greensboro Jareds -- they are great.  I also like that they are not pushy at all.  FI hates their ads -- when he told me where he got my e-ring, he said if he ever heard me say "He went to Jared" he would take the ring away.  (obviously he was joking)

I have had my six month service where they tightened the settings and cleaned it, but haven't had to take it in for anything else yet -- good to know they handle that well also!

I am having a custom band made to match the form of the ering, so Jareds has had my ring for about a month now.  Should get it back next week!

I am planning on getting my band (wrap) from Jared's in GSO, too.  I found "THE" one at one of their Raleigh stores, but we didn't have the money at the time to get it then.  I have had my e-ring dipped in rhodium there, and they had the best customer service with that.  Glad to hear some positive reviews overall!!!  Thanks so much for sharing!

<div>Your ring is beautiful! I actually have a ring sort of like yours (with the split on the side and the pave diamonds - picture below) and I had a problem with two of the side diamonds coming out. They told us that with the type it may not be uncommon (split + pave), however they thought the reason those two came out was because when they sized my ring down the little prongs probably bent and weren't checked. I've had it back for about a month and a half with no problems, so hopefully it won't be chronic! Good that you have the coverage! </div><div>

My fiance has been using Jared's since she bought me a birthstone ring a couple years ago. Every time we go in for the 6-month cleaning, no one ever bats an eye that we're 2 women, and they are always more than helpful as we looked at rings (she was terribly nervous about "screwing it up."

When she finally started fnalizing the plan for buying the engagement ring, she coulnd't find anything she liked, so needed to create one, and they were VERY helpful, even going so far as to send back the first setting that came in because it wasn't good enough by their standards. We went in for my other ring's cleaning the other day, and half of the staff were more excited than we were about the engagement, they all wanted to see the ring and congratulate us.

I LOVE Jared's and recommend it to eveyone (despite the cheesy commercials) Tongue out

dawsonm: love your ring!  Thanks for the info on the split/pave.

Wow - so many good experiences/things to say about Jared's!  Makes me even happier that we bought there.
