Bridesmaids and Dresses!

I'm sure this has been asked before, but what do most brides do when it comes to payment for their bridesmaids' dresses? Do you have each girl pay for her own? Or should the bride do it? I've been in weddings where I've had both situations.

    Either is acceptable. If they are paying, you need to ask them individually and privately for their budget before selecting a dress.

    Generally, the bridesmaids pay for their own dresses.  In this case, the bride should take each BM aside and ask them what their budget is and pick a dress within the lowest budget.  Alternatively, the bride can pick a fabric and colour at a store such as David's Bridal and let the girls pick out their own dresses.
    If the bride has the budget to purchase the BM dresses and wants to, that is very generous of her.
