Mark took me out to Sheshco, my favorite Middle Eastern restaurant in
order to tell me he was proud of me for graduating college. I felt like a
blob after going to class, and I was
super tired, because I had to wake up so early. Towards the end of our
lunch, he told me he wanted to go to a quieter part of the restaurant in
order to give me something. He gave me a desktop plaque with the Bible
verse Joshua 1:9 written on it. It goes "This is my command- be strong
and courageous! Do not be afrid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is
with you wherever you go." After I got done reading this, I looked over
to him to say thank you, and he was on one knee with a ring in his
hand. Of course I said yes!
