Thank you

Re: invites for ceremony musicians

  • Are they staying for your reception and eating/drinking? I'm not sure why you would include them unless they are part of the reception.
  • @Sarals24 that is kinda what im asking like do i need to invite them. They will not be doing anything at the recption but wasn't sure if not inviting them would be rude.
  • I don't think it's required to invite the ceremony musicians to your reception. Are you inviting your florist or anyone else who is helping you with the ceremony? You are paying them, they aren't guests.
  • I figured that but i know we have to count the dj and photographer
  • That's different, they will be there the entire evening and ostensibly eating the catered food. Honestly, I don't think your musicians will want to go to a reception for someone they don't know. It's a job for them, I'm sure they want to go home afterward.
  • Thanks thats what i thought but wanted to make sure. Merry Christmas
  • No, you don't need to send them invitations.

And since they're not staying for the reception, you don't need to include them in the head count either.
  • Agreed. If they are a hired vendor you do not need to invite them to the reception.

Photographer and DJ also do not require invitations, but would partake in the meal as they will be there for the night.
  • You would only need to count the musicians in the head count if they are playing for the entire night. If they're just hired for the ceremony, then no, and no invitations.
