I need bra help...

FI and I are getting engagement photos taken in the spring/summer and I found an AMAZING dress on sale.  The only problem is that it is pretty low cut in the back so I don't think I would be able to wear a bra.  I am a 36C so going bra-less is not the most comfortable or practical thing in the world.  Just wondering if anyone has any suggestions for a good bra (similar to the NuBra but works for larger breasted women). The wedding dresses I am attracted to also have that V-cut in the back so a bra that could be used throughout this wedding process is ideal. Thanks in advance for any suggestions!!

    I'm a 32D so braless is never an option for me. I have several merrywidows from Frederick's of Hollywood for those occasions where I have something with a low back and is strapless. They also have several bras that are convertible if you need a bra to wear for something just with a low back.

    Also a 34-36C. How structured is your dress in the front? Is getting cups sewn in an option? Have you chatted up a good seamstress yet (seriously, a good seamstress is a goddess among women)?

    Cookie Pusher Thank you SO MUCH. That website is literally a Godsend for bras in general!! 

    @PDKH I haven't looked into seamstresses yet because I haven't gotten a wedding dress yet and this is just a dressy-causal dress  for engagement photos. Not sure the cost of getting cups sewn in because I don't need to do that too often.  Is is cost effective enough to do it for just an average dress?

    Sorry, I can't read details apparently.

     Yes, Fredrick's is a great place to start for everyday bras! I probably wouldn't look at getting cups sewn in for an everyday dress unless you just want to. I have one backless cocktail dress I've done it for, but for most things, I use a long line bra.

    But anyway, getting cups sewn into my wedding dress was pretty darn cheap all things considered. My dress has some structure to it, so getting the cups worked. If you end up with a more sheathy dress or a dress with a thinner material, it might not work out as well.

    My wedding dress is a sheath that has a pretty deep plunge in front, and I love that I found a bra at Frederick's that gives me support but still plunges deep enough so you don't see it.

    They constantly have sales, so I rarely pay full price and shipping for anything - I usually get a discount on one or the other.

    I am a 32DD and my dress has enough structure that I am going bra-less... which is the last thing I imagined would happen! I tried on 2 corsets and 3 strapless bras, and my mother (of all people) said the bra-less was best. So you never know!

    I'm a 34C and I wore an off-brand NuBra (same basic thing but a different brand, found it at Fred Meyer).  It worked well.  But I think the structure of my bodice had a lot to do with it as well.  I haven't worn it since, but have tried it on a couple times.  There's not much I can wear it with.  My wedding dress didn't have that much structure, at least I don't think so, but definitely more than most tops.  I've tried to wear it with a boat-neck dolman top I have and it doesn't have enough support.  It sticks and holds really well, but it doesn't hold the girls up at all, which is most important.

    My dress has a fairly deep plunge in the back.  I bought this: http://www.amazon.com/Fashion-Forms-Womens-Plunge-Body/dp/B007H52F90 after buying another strapless, low backed corset bra that was pretty uncomfortable after I tried it on with the dress.  Its really comfy and has great support.  My dress does have (tank top width) sleeves, so I'm not sure how well this would work with a strapless dress, but the invisible straps are removable.  And it did great things for shaping the cleavage too.  :)

    @melbenso I have a question for you...  My dress is a V neck and deep V back.  In the picture on Amazon, the straps criss-cross in the back.  Is there any way I could wear this with straps, but not have them criss cross?  I wasn't sure if that was adjustable.

    @aRachel21 Yep.  The straps are completely adjustable and removable (though I'm not sure how much support it would offer without straps to hold the top up.  I haven't tried it on with the dress without the straps.)  There are about 10 different places along the sides of the undergarment in the back where the straps can attach too.  And pretty dress.  It looks like the back is pretty similar to mine in terms of the depth of the V, so it should work just fine.

    @melbenso thank you so much!  You're a life saver... I was going to buy those expensive sticky cup things from Victorias secret, but I know I'd feel so much more comfortable having straps.

    @aRachel21 I found it perusing the boards here, so I doubt I can take all the credit.  I just wish I found it before I wasted money on the other bra I bought.  It is so uncomfortable, I doubt I will wear it with anything ever.  But I had already taken the tags off because until I saw this, I thought it was the best option for my dress.  You might want to Google the style.  I know its for sale on various websites, and you might be able to find it for less than on Amazon.  I bought it from them because I trust their return policy in case it didn't work with the dress.
