Look for wedding venue on a budget

I am looking for a reasonably priced venue for my wedding in Brooklyn, NY.  The prices I am finding are a little above our budget.  We are from the Caribbean and would like that type of venue for about 200 guest???? Trying to keep it below 12K total

    I'd say go non-traditional and hire a Caribbean restaurant to cater! Only challenge might be feeding 200 guests that way but I think it would work!

    If you work with a bare space you can make it however you like it! Just remember that all that will need to be done on the morning of and you will need to hire someone to help!

    Look at the Greenpoint Loft in Brooklyn. I looked at it last year and it is about as close to a farm wedding as you will get in the city. The event space can hold hundreds and it was only about $3500 for the day but you bring in all food and drinks and table rentals.
