What's the best bra for this dress?

I am a bridesmaid for a cousin's wedding in May. The dresses have a low back, and I don't know what to do about a bra. I am a 32F. I was told that I could just have cups sewn in, but, having tried it with cups pinned in, I know that is NOT going to work.  I need more support.

What's the best bra solution?  I told my cousin I was okay with the dress because it doesn't show cleavage, but I wasn't paying attention to the back!

Any help is MUCH appreciated!!

  • Hmm, maybe you can bring in a picture of the dress to a bra specialty store and see if they offer anything that would fit and support you while not showing.  If you don't have any luck finding a good F cup backless/low back bra, then you might have to have your dress altered to raise the back.

  • Try a low back bra converter, like this: http://www.amazon.com/Hollywood-Curves-Womens-Strap-Converter/dp/B00AJK7C2U

(Macys and Nordstrom sell similar ones, but I don't think theirs are clear, if you want to try a brick and mortar store)

It will be difficult, possibly impossible, for you to find a backless bra in your size, so see if you can get something with a clear back strap. Or get the dress altered so the back is covered, maybe in a flesh-colored panel.
  • some speciality stores have low back bras but i dont think they go that high take it to a seemstress and see what they suggest could you get the chicken cutlets that stick to skin or that wont give you enough support

Thanks, I didn't realize the low back converters came in clear plastic.  One question, how noticeable do you think it would be?

Also, I am pretty sure the cutlet things will not provide enough support!
  • Get a sticky backless bra. Nubra is a very good company. They come with either cups that stick, or sides that stick. I think a side stick bra would work well with that dress, and you get more support. You also don't have to worry about your straps being seen.
