Thank you for card?

A member of the church I grew up in, in another city, sent us a card wishing us well at our upcoming wedding.  She isn't invited, but it's a small community there and it's no surprise she heard I was getting married.  Do I send a thank you card in reply?

Re: Thank you for card?

  • Not if there was no gift included. If you want to drop a "thinking of you" kind of card in the mail, it would always be welcomed.
  • We didn't send thank you cards for cards unless there was money in them.
What did you think would happen if you walked up to a group of internet strangers and told them to get shoehorned by their lady doc?~StageManager14

  • No I wouldn't send a thank you card for 'just' a card, but I would make sure to thank them for it next time I spoke to the person.

  • Agreed. Don't send a TY. It's like sending a TY for a birthday card.
  • @kgd7357 "Thank you for congratulating me on being born!  I sure hope it falls on the same day next year!"  Too funny :)
