  • Sorry, I meant like readings you are using, order of the events, what the officiant would say, etc.

  • I bookmarked this. We are having a friend officiate so I'm responsible to write up the whole thing and I think I'm going to use most of this-

We are throwing in a reading as well. Not sure where or what yet lol

  • We had a Quaker wedding, which is totally different from the standard timeline. But when we were thinking of doing it the other way, I found these ceremony scripts really useful, in addition to all the resources on A Practical Wedding.

  • Perfect timing! Ive been working on mine for our officiant:

    Prelude
Processional (Instrumental: Somewhere Over The Rainbow)
Seating of Parents (part of Processional)
Officiant & Groom walk down aisle first
Bride with 3 sons ("I DO" Westlife)
Welcome & Thank You Extended on Behalf of B&G
    Presentation of Bride
    Opening Prayer & Address
Reading: 'Sometimes Love" (poem based off of 1 Cor 13:4-8)
Family & Friends Declaration of Support
Reading: Love Poem written by Bride's Grandmother 70 years ago to her Husband
    Marriage Statement of Intent
    Vows
    Rings Exchange
Scripture Reading: Eph 4:12 (explains knot ceremony)
Knot Ceremony (braiding): ("Love Can Build A Bride" Westlife)
    Closing Prayer
    Kiss
    Pronouncement
Recessional ( "Aint No Mountain High Enough" Howard Hewitt)

Here's hoping the officiant doesnt change anything :)
