    SQUEE!! I love love the flowers on teh first. I think I have a thing with flowers....

    But I also love the skirt on the second with all the layers.

    Wow! You look amazing, Elle! :) I like the first one best. Something about the ruffles on the second one doesn't wow me, though I like the top part. Both bodices are super flattering on you. I usually don't go for pickups, but the ones on that first dress are more understated than you usually see, almost more like draping/folds than pickups. I like #1 a lot.

    Thanks Liv!  It's definitely the dress, though.  The sample was just a bit big for me, and she had it clamped back so hard I could hardly breathe, but then I looked in the mirror and decided it was worth the pain.  :)

    As far as the sash, I think I definitely want something around my natural waist -- I've been really big on sashes lately.  But i would want to see what the dress looked like with the skirt raised first.

    Both look fabulous on you. I prefer the second one, just because that is the style I tend to gravitate more.

    I'm not big on pickups, but that first dress is pretty.  However, the second dress is absolutely stunning.  It's so flattering on you!

    These are both great! I love the layers on the second dress, but the first one is awesome on you. I'm not usually a pickups girl, but the silhouette is fantastic. It really, really flatters you. You can see your shape without it being skin tight. Great choices!

    I don't know about "sparkly".  I've never been big on bling.  I do love the idea of a champagne or taupe sash, though.  I'll just have to make sure it will still work with the dress once it's altered...

    I love them both, minus the sash on the second. You are so pretty and will probably look gorgeous in any dress you try on! :)

    Look for it pre-owned? I have a feeling that will probably be what I end up having to do because my taste far outweighs what I can afford...I don't even do it on purpose! I will see a picture of what I like, and then of course it's like a $4000 Lazaro...sigh.

    But it looks great on you, so I think it would be worth it if it doesn't break the bank!

    First you are incredibly gorgeous and I wish I had your body!

    Second, dress two is amazing on you! I think raising the waist and the sash are great ideas and you're going to look like and understated-ly gorgeous princess on your wedding day!

    Yeah, I'm planning on waiting a while to see if I can find it used or at a sample sale somewhere. If I can't, I might just stretch for it. I'm spending several thousand less on my venue than I anticipated, so I can make it happen.

    I have to agree with the other ladies here. You are gorgeous!

    I absolutely LOVE the first dress. And I love the second dress too. I guess it would come down to which one fit better with your overall personality and wedding style.

    I absolutely positively think you look so stunning in the second one.  If you bring that waistline up I think it would be the perfect dress for you.  Love the bottom layers.

    Okay, I just looked again and I do like the bodice to #2 better than the bodice to #1. But still like #1 overall. For some reason, the ruffles are just not doing it for me on dress #2. Also, they're kind of distracting me from looking at *you* because my eye is drawn down to the ruffles.

    Thanks Marley. I hadn't thought about that before, a I do think you're kind right. The dramatic skirt could pull attention away from my face, but... Is it bad if I'm pretty ok with that?

    zomg.  You're gorgeous.  BFF and I agree.

    And I love the second one.  Yeppers.  Go buy that dress.

    ETA: When you get alterations done (if you get that second dress), see if you can ask them to dip your neckline a little bit and turn it into more of a sweetheart.  The dress is beautiful as is, but you aren't flat chested :)

    I like 'em both, but I think the first one is too busy with all the flowers.

    If you liked the second one, you might want to consider trying on my dress. It's similar, but the dropped waist is at the hips rather than the thighs.

    You look absolutely beautiful in dress number 2!!  I know that you said that you were thinking about raising the waist in dress number two which I think you should it'd would look even more amazing on you.  :)
