Unconventional Wedding Venues in LA or SGV

Hey everyone!

Newly engaged and starting the hunt for a wedding venue. I'm looking for something a little unconventional, not too excited about the idea of a country club or hotel ballroom. I'd like to keep room rental under $4,000. Interested in Los Angeles, Pasadena, Monrovia, La Canada, Burbank, etc. We'll have around 200 guests. I like the look of Huron Substation, Marvimon and Smog Shoppe. 

Anyone have any other suggestions?

    We're getting married at the Angelus Mountain Center in Altadena and it's fabulous. It's a summer camp during the summer and they rent out during the off-season. Very affordable, but completely DIY - they do not offer any vendors or services so you have to hire all the staff yourself. If you're looking to save some $$ it's worth it! http://www.angelusmountaincenter.com/Weddings.html Also recommend Occidental College in Eagle Rock. It was our second choice. I went to a wedding there a few years back and it sounds odd to have a wedding at a college but they have a beautiful campus and have several different outdoor and indoor areas to choose from for a wedding. They include catering from the campus dining room, furniture, and an on-site wedding coordinator and they are EXTREMELY affordable!
