Addressing invites.

Our envelopes have arrived and I'm going to start them this weekend. I'm terrified of making a mistake. Can anyone point me in the direction of a good online resource for different couple situations, i.e., living together but not married, addressing the invitation to an entire family (we're not doing inner envelopes), etc.?

Also, is it okay to write addresses in print instead of cursive? My cursive looks nice, but I'm more comfortable with print.

I think Crane's is the best site. They have been giving advice on addressing invitations for more than 200 years. Yes, they have changed with the times!

Since we are not doing inner envelopes, should I use the inside envelope wording to address the mailing envelope?

Also, if I know a guest is dating one specific person but do not know for sure, how do I figure out how to address it? Should I call and verify?

I just noticed that this says you can put multiple adult children living at home on one invite (but still a separate one from their parents). Usually we say each adult child should get their own. Interesting

Also, I did every couple that was living together with different names on one line with an And between them, whether they were married or not. It's not *right* but it worked for me. And then other couples were on two separate lines.

There are some things that really need to get with the times.

It really bothers me that if the woman is a doctor, it can either be Mr. and Mrs. Lastname, or Dr. First Lastname and Mr. First Lastname. However, if it's a man who is a doctor, he is always addressed as Dr.

Not cool.
