Missing pets while on vacay

Oh dear lord... we have been on vacation for 4 days and we are so not used to not being woken up by meowing at 4 am. We miss our furbabies! It's kind of pathetic, but whatever.

Awww, I know how you feel.  If I'm away from my monster for more than a few days I get pretty lonely.  Enjoy your vacation...furbabies will be anxiously awaiting your return so you have something post-vacation to look forward to too.
  • We took our dogs with us on our last journey because it was just a weekend, but I know how you feel. Whenever we go on vacation, at some point during the day, I go 'I wonder what Bellamy and Zoë are doing right now...' and then worry. Ugh.

I can totally relate! Even though my parents are nice enough to doggy-sit my dog Ferris when SO & I go away for a few days, I think about him all the time. Whenever I see someone else with their dog, I get sad! The best part about coming home is always reuiniting with my boo!

Ha, my mom refuses to let the dogs come to their house because she says that the younger dog is too needy. We have someone come stay with them at the house whenever we're gone.

I'm lucky my parents don't mind taking care of Ferris. But that's the main reason (besides being broke!) that I don't get another dog ATM. My parents don't mind watching one dog, but they've said numerous times they won't watch 2. They've always been more cat people than dog people. Luckily Ferris is only 10-11 pounds, so he's the size of a cat anyway!  <img src="http://cdn.cl9.vanillaforums.com/downloaded/ver1.0/content/scripts/tinymce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-wink.gif" border="0" alt="Wink" title="Wink" />

My parents have seven cats... Bellamy is a 65 pound Golden Retriever and Zoë is a 51 pound Llewellin Setter. They're always willing to take Bellamy, but my mom says that Zoë requires too much attention and that she's too energetic around the cats :x. Now we have a third dog -- Freya, an 11 pound Corgi -- so them staying with my parents is definitely out!

  • I miss my cats. I love my dog too, don't get me wrong, but there's something absolutely lovely about sitting at home with a purring kitty in your lap.
  • I make my sister and niece send me daily picutres when I am on vacation. We are going away for a week in August and I am already worried about missing Bux and Fiyero. They are crazy but we just love them so much!

I'm just really not used to not waking up with one of them sitting on my chest. Fortunately the woman we adopted our kitties from loves spending time with them and sending us pictures :)

<div>I miss that! When my after-college roommate and I "broke up", she kept our cat. It was because the apartment had mice, and since she was staying there, she needed Thompson more than me, but it still sucks :-(</div>

  • We are currently on vacation and our dear kitty is staying with my parents (and their dog!). I am so neurotic about it. I feel so bad dropping him off because I feel like he will think we are abandoning him, especially since he's a big AW. Plus I miss kitty snuggles!

  • Finally home! Vacation was awesome but we were ridiculously excited to come home to our brats. My one cat still hasn't stopped purring.
