Seamstress Recommendations

Hi, all!

I'm wearing my mother's gown from 1975. Oddly enough, it fits almost perfectly, but because it is old, I'd like to have someone knowledgeable look over the seams and make sure everything is okay. Also, there is trim along the neckline and cuffs that needs to be removed.

Does anyone have suggestions for someone in NEPA? I live in the W-B area but work in Scranton, so I'm fairly flexible that way.

  • I've had a lot of luck with Liza in Kingston. She is extremely friendly and knows what she is doing. She even altered my sister-in-law's wedding dress within the past few months because the dress store she bought her dress from didn't make it the right length. The people in the alterations dept. wouldn't alter it for her because it would've involved removing the lace, altering the dress itself, then putting the lace back on while trying to make sure there wasn't excess lace hanging off. Liza is very personable, so giver her a call and see if she can do anything to help! :)
