Trying on my dress tomorrow!

I had my dress made because I couldn't find anything that really seemed to fit Vegas. My dress is made and ready for my first fitting now! I am super nervous. All I have to go on is a concept and pictures that the designer and I talked about. Hopefully it will be a good fit for what we have planned and will be one of a kind. Still...so nervous.

It's exactly what I pictured for Vegas! It's all pinned up in these pictures but it should fit snuggly when it's done. Now to find accessories!

I don't know why I can't turn these pictures right side up.

Thanks guys! I think the designer did a good job putting together all the pictures I showed him and understanding what I wanted. It's nice and light and I should have no problem wearing it all night!

Anybody have any ideas for jewelry? The Attire and Accessories board is failing me. It's sort of an off-white dress. Will silver and crystals still work? I have a serious aversion to pearls (I don't know, they always make me think of my grandparents).

I would say yes to silver and crystals, but I would keep in mind, that ive learned recently that there are like 50 shades of silver for bridal jewelry. My dress has a beautiful beaded band but I can't just throw any silver jewelry because of clashing. For your off white dress I would try like an antique silver color cuff or necklace.

I keep looking at these pics and feeling jealous of your dress! I hope I like my dress as much when it comes in. I went with a long dress, though I was originally planning to get a short one.

@vegasbaby2015 wow thanks! That's a great complement! I'm going back for the final fitting on November, and should be able to bring it home that day. I am pretty pleased that I should be able to wear it all day without it dragging.

If anyone is in the Portland, OR area and is looking for a custom dress, I would highly recommend the shop I went to. If anybody wants the details, I'll share them for sure.

I will say that going into the fitting I was pretty overwhelmed. Having a dress made is kind of scary. If I hadn't been so stressed and overwhelmed, I probably would have been posing and dancing around in the dress!

so cute and totally vegas!! love it. I got my dress last weekend, and it is amazing... i just need to stay exactly the same size for 6months. ahhhhh

My shop actually asked if I wanted to wait to have my fitting about a week before the wedding but my size tends to stay about the same, so I said no. Also, I just have a little under 2 months to go, so I didn't think it would be a big deal.

I am waiting to do my first fitting until January. When I tried on my dress several months ago, it fit me perfectly (although if I eat anything I may be uncomfortable lol). My goal is by January to lose the extra 5 lbs to give me a little wiggle room. I figure I can maintain 5 lbs lost for 3 months

And if I don't, it's an amount I can lose quickly!
