I knew it had to end that way.  I cried a little for Tig, but was so happy to see him with Venus at the end!

Re: *Spoilers* Sons of Anarchy Finale

  • Did anyone else think the CGI/green screening things for the whole episode sucked?  Also the camera angles or just the way it was filmed.  But I think Kurt Sutter wasn't able to do the last episode, right?  So some other person did them I guess.
Abel is totally going to grow up and want to get into the club.  That and/or just be really fucked.
And what about Wendy?  What if she relapses?  Especially under the stress of just having sex with Jax (maybe she thinks/thought they were going to get back together) and then him dying and her being left to take care of two kids.
I was happy to see that Chibs is going to be Pres, but I was disappointed that he had to harden up in order to be a leader.  I wanted him and the sheriff to somehow stay together.

  • You cat to be kitten me, right meow.

    THATS THE FINALE? Ughhhh.

  • I knew Jax had to die - that was the only way it was going to work for the club and his family.  The slow-mo police chase was a little cheesy - and the CGI was pretty bad.

I was kind of confused about the interaction between Althea and Chibbs - I don't remember when they went sour?   Jax left them in a pretty good place though - no more fighting over guns and drugs, and they can make all kinds of money from porn, lol.

I think Wendy will be fine - she's got Nero, and he's rock-solid and a good man.  He'll do right by Jax - I think he kind of felt a father/mentor relationship to Jax and he did love Gemma - he'll take care of those kids and Wendy.

  • I was kind of annoyed that the truck driver who picked up Gemma was the one who Jax ran into.  I mean Michael Chiklis is cool and all, but really?  And from the second Jax "escaped" meeting Mr. Mayhem, the ending was soooo predictable.  Not that it wasn't all that predictable before that.

Other than that, I think SoA redeemed itself with the last 3 or 4 episodes.  It had been so violent for the season or two before that, that it lost its message and its appeal for me.  But I'm glad I stuck it out to the end.

Have you guys seen the thing going around comparing SOA to Hamlet? I'll see if I can find the post I saw and post it here. I don't remember Hamlet well because that was like 12 years ago for me, but the post I read pointing out the characters and the symbolism made sense to me.

I also hated the slo-mo chase scene at the end. There was no need to drag that out for 10 minutes. We knew it was coming. I did love seeing Tig and Venus together at the end.

ETA: NVMD about Hamlet. Apparently that was common knowledge to everyone but me lol

  • I just watched. And I cried my eyes out. Ugh. I knew it had to end like that though.

Also, who was that reoccurring homeless girl?

My theory is that she was some sort of guardian angel but I could be completely wrong. I knew it was going to end that way. I cried my eyes out but really in the end Jax was a bad man and did what he thought he had to do to end his family's legacy.

One of the theories I saw floating around was that she was the Angel of Death - that she came around when somebody was gonna die.  I kinda like that theory - she was there for Gemma, and she was there for Jax.

    That definitely makes sense.

I'm so glad I'm not the only one that cried. That last scene killed me, when he held his arms out. Ugh.
  • I think I have a cold heart. I didn't even come close to crying...actually thought the end was rather cheesy. I won't go so far as to say I was disappointed, but I was definitely underwhelmed :/

i loved this show.  I felt Jax's embrace to death was so sad.  Wish it could've been played out better, but I understood.

Did anyone else notice that crows at the end were eating the same sandwich the homeless lady was eating?  And the Jax's spilled blood was the same color as her drink? So who the heck was she?  Im thinking she was the reaper although the net is saying she was the ghost of the mother of the girl that broke their window.

I've also heard stuff about her eating bread and wine as being like the last supper before Jax  sacrificed himself to try to save the club and his boys.  The wine and bread was also where he went into the truck.
Also, you know how Chucky had fixed up Jax's dad's bike or something?  Did he just fix it up or did Jax ask him to do something, like mess with the thing like how his dad's bike was messed with?  Because Chucky looked like he knew it was the last time he was going to see Jax.
ETA also, Jax just lifted his arms up and the bike drifted to the left, right?

  • Chucky definitely seemed to know something with us, both with Jax and the bike. Maybe just the fact that he wanted plated on it?

I get so into these shows. I'm so sad it's over. This is why I stopped watching after Opie died. I get so emotional about a TV show!

I was heartbroken over Opie, but I kind of felt like that had to happen because so much had gone wrong in Opie's life, all due to the club. I almost quit watching when Donna got killed way back when, and I told FI "I'M NOT WATCHING ANYMORE" *stomps feet* when Tara was killed, but obviously I did. FI and I loved the show to the end, but both agree that the show could have ended with season 3 when the club killed that thundercunt who was responsible everyone thinking Opie was a rat (her name escapes me) and the club all goes to jail together to serve their time but they're laying together at the end of the season finale. That was before everything went to hell.

  • Oh, right! That cop. I forget her name too.

Oh since I really only started watching again the last couple of episodes, I'm totally confused about who that guys was that Jax shot in the store.
  • Guys I just read that Kurt Sutter has some prequels and sequels ideas that he is working on. I'm equally excited and irritated. How are we suppose to move on if he keeps making stuff?
