Suit or Tux for Outdoor Wedding?

Is one more appropriate than the other? What did your groom/smen wear?

That's really just personal preference. We liked the more formal look of tuxes, so I bought tuxes for all my GM's since I knew only one owned a tux. If you go with suits, many guys own a black one, so that gives everyone more flexibility, whether you're providing them, they already own them, etc.

With either option, they will all be purchased new. We are providing them, so they will be identical (light grey).

Groupon had some deals in suits and tuxes. I just got my dad a suit as adding on going to pick up a rented suite Turned out to be a disaster at my sisters wedding. Plus, cost over $200

My groom is wearing a nice suit. Cost as much as my dress, but at least he'll get more than one wearing out of it

It really just depends on the "feel" of your wedding. Tuxedos are straight-up formal to me.

Do the guys have a preference? If I were in the WP, I might prefer a suit, as it's something I could wear again.

We went with Tuxedos! I love the ones we chose.
