I woke up to D losing her mind because FI had pulled up. He gets home, sits in his truck listening to sports talk radio, and clashes clans. He does it all the time when he gets home, instead of just coming in. So I texted him and was like please come inside so you don't fall asleep in your truck (it happens sometimes ugh), and I get "omg I've only been out here for 30 seconds"

NOPE. I looked at the clock when D started ruckusizing, it's been ten minutes, get your ass in.

Then he told me to wake him up when I left. So I tried to and he got all crabgrass about it and said he thought I was going to leave later weh weh I have alarms set I'm gonna bring in wood later weh weh weh.

I am probably going to win a bet with myself that involves him waking up at 1:30 this afternoon and not doing anything he planned to do today.

Ugh Climbing you wanna borrow my H? He's the crazy impulse remodeler who finished our basement start to finish, including a floating laminate floor, inside of a week.

But he's also the one who woke me up at like 4am playing on his phone cuz he couldn't sleep. He finally got up, but then that required slamming around the room looking for his long johns to go out to the couch (it's cold in our house). I was up til like 6:30. At 7am he came in to kiss me goodbye. Grrrrrr.

Our weather is beautiful for once so I can't complain about that! Last week it was -33, and yesterday it was only -1. I went for an hours walk only wearing a light hoodie. It was marvelous.

Other than that this weeks been pretty meh. Work is sooooo slow due to the Oil situation, so the week is dragging by because I have no work to do! I've managed to get some work done on wedding related things so thats good, but man I would rather be just sitting at home like FI is. He's on salary and his work has ground to a halt, so he just gets paid to sit at home in his pjs and play video games. Seriously. He has worked 3 days in the last 25 days.

I have to admit I'm starting to find it very hard to not be grumpy when my alarm goes off and I have to go to work and he just rolls over and goes back to sleep and makes double what I do....

hah! He's a Charter Pilot. He flies guys into and out of Oil Camps that are way out in the wild.

I'm beyond cranky today. It's 19 degrees in the city. I'm supposed to be getting my period today so I feel bloated and crampy. I totally forgot I was supposed to host a training session at 10 which I was not in the mood for. Coworker from Kansas City kept asking the most inane questions. Good thing though, my 11 AM was cancelled. Yay.

Schools are closed this week so H and I are off. Yesterday he was at the college he works at to get a new parking sticker and some student in a hurry ran a stop sign and smacked into our car. No one was hurt, but she told H she doesn't want to go through her parents insurance because she's been in so many accidents. Now we're sitting here at the dealership to get an estimate for the damages. Ugh! I'd rather be home with H my dog and my kitty.

I can relate, I feel like I'm having a grumpy week. I got back from vacation late Monday night, got almost no sleep, then woke up Tuesday with an awful head cold. I've been doing nothing after work all week except laying on the couch watching Netflix. Which is good, but not when you're feeling shitty

my workout schedule is completely thrown now too, boo.

Not a horrible day but its not the best. The building my class is in was built the last decade of the 1800s that means the windows aren't sealed well, and it takes a crap ton to heat the ten story thing. Plus its right on Lake Michigan, On Michigan avenue, so the wind off the lake just blows straight at it. Our original classroom was so cold we asked to switch to another, and its still cold. I'm sitting in class with my winter jacket on, and it's not just me. My professor still has her jacket and scarf on. When class is over I have a long ass train ride home. Which means I actually have to walk in this horrible weather.

I had a crabby moment this afternoon because one department basically wants to dismantle an entire rule (I am a copy editor, rulez is mah thing) because it makes their life easier. And the way they want to handle the new "rule"? "Just trust us!"

Um, no. Why do you keep copy editors on staff if we are supposed to trust your judgment in all things? I wouldn't care if the buck didn't stop with me, but it does. If things get effed up, no one is calling out their department for letting it get through.

Plus I got some stitches today (it's a good thing! Finally fixing the scar that I got near my eye over a year ago) but I look like someone punched me in the eye and I am not looking forward to working out tonight and tomorrow morning, but it seems pretty lame to skip a workout because there might be a little swelling and I look like Frankenstein's monster.

Although that odor, like really bad rotten eggs, emitted solely from our basement, we had a similar problem. We laundry using only cold water, and apparently this can cause a tremendous back up of soap scum and other laundry by-products. We have started to run an empty machine of hot water and vinegar once weekly. The odor is almost completely gone now.
