I have spent the past two days undergoing all kinds of medical tests. We just returned from a visit with my oncologist. The cancerous tumor in my eye has greatly shrunk, and there is no further cancer detectable anywhere else in my body. The eye tumor is shrinking, and not headed for my brain, as feared.
Am I cured? No. The cancer will return someplace else, sooner or later. It looks like I will be around for awhile, though. I will continue with my current medication for as long as it is working.
We went out to celebrate at a new Mexican restaurant, and I had a lovely margarita! Whee! I can't drink much. I'm a cheap date!
