My dad moved up here to get help with his alcoholism. He wanted to be here for the wedding. My only, only condition was, if he drinks, it's all over. He basically left my sister and I to our own devices to go back to the party life when my mom died. I was 15 so I left, and moved in with my aunt and uncle. I gave him 11 years worth of chances to be a part of my life and he always picked the bottle. I planned to have my uncle give me away, but decided both he and my dad could since my dad was making progress. I woke up 4 days ago and my dad was gone. Gone to the bar. I told him giving me away is a privilege he is not entitled to. The wedding is at our home ( and like every wedding with 44 days left, crap is falling apart haha), he needs to be gone by then. He doesn't care how he's hurt me, he just cares how much my decision hurt him. I am shutting down!! Thanks for the vent y'all. I just need an outsiders perspective, it hurts my heart to hear all of the inside ones!
