Ornaments - Help me find them!

I'm hoping you all can help me find some ornaments at a good price. I have been all over the internet and local stores but can't seem to find a good deal in bulk. I'm looking for the clear glass cube shape ornaments to use for escort cards (cue Pinterest) which is apparently much harder than finding the round ones in bulk! I attached a picture below, let me know if any of you have any ideas!

Re: Ornaments - Help me find them!

  • How many do you need?

I'm not seeing a lot of them online but remember seeing some in the clearance section at a local shop over the weekend. I think they were in boxes of 12. I can check tomorrow if you like. They were $3 or $4/box.

I only remember them because I thought they'd be cute for craft projects but didn't want that many.

I need 200 of them, I looked at some places around here and couldn't find the cube ones but admittedly I didn't look very hard. What store did you find them in? I wonder if some places will get them in closer to Christmas time. I have until January but I like ordering and spacing out costs so I have been doing a lot ahead of time!

    https://www.consumercrafts.com/store/details/catalog/seasonal-christmas-craft-basics/2610-52

Comes in packages of 6 so you will need to order 34 sets.  Will cost you around $135 before shipping and tax.

ETA:  I found this after a really quick Google search, but I am sure you could find something less expensive if you look around more.  Also, knowing most stores they will probably have ornaments out sometime in September :)

This has been the average price I have been finding, I will spend it if I need to but wouldn't mind finding a better deal!

They definitely didn't have anywhere near enough of them. I don't remember the name of the place but it was a Big Lots knockoff.

  • You could also try poking around eBay or Google Shopping. eBay can be iffy but we got a great deal on our votives through eBay (could not find silver in the stores anywhere).

I assume you've already checked craft stores? They seem to be made by Darice, UPC is 652695836985. Darice is a pretty major craft vendor, so worst case you might want to ask at a place like AC Moore or Michaels to see if they could order some for you in bulk. I tried to see if you could order direct from Darice but it looks like you need an account :(

Thanks for checking, I did look around our ONE craft store (MIchaels) and they had a lot of the round ones in bulk but none of the cube ones. I might have to actually drive into a city to check some others out, we are pretty rural so the options are limited. I checked amazon, no dice on the price, and google search came up with them but all in smaller boxes so shipping is crazy expensive. I did get a girl on Etsy to make a bulk listing, shipping still sucks but she is trying to work with me so we'll see what she comes up with!

Sometimes if you go to customer service and it's a vendor they work with (Darice probably is) they might be able to help you out even if it's not something they typically stock -- as long as you are willing to buy the whole quantity they order. It's worth an ask, at least, if your Etsy store doesn't pan out. The craft store I used to work for was much smaller and so logistics were different, but we could do that for customers if they asked and it was something available in our vendor catalog. Usually we'd just ask that they pay for the special order upfront (so we wouldn't get stuck with weird stock).

With the amount of money I spend there all year long that might be a good idea to ask them! I'm sure it's not as expensive to ship to vendors so I might save a bit on that side! Thanks for the idea!
