Does the man need to be involved with the bridal registry?

My future wife, who I love with all my heart, wants me to help her set up the bridal registry. I'm hesitant because we have very different tastes and it'll only cause arguments. Besides, if I was supposed to be involved, it wouldn't be called the bridal registry and the gifts wouldn't be presented at the bridal shower. This is for her and I should stay out of it, right?

    It's not usually called a bridal registry; it's a wedding registry, and it's for your household, aka both of you.
