  It would help if you could be a bit more specific.  "Chicagoland" encompasses a freakishly large area.  Are you looking at somewhere within the city or in the suburbs?  Do you prefer to stay east or can you venture into Lake or McHenry counties?  What is your budget?  How many guests will you have?  Are you having your ceremony there as well?

  Honestly, I'm open to anything in the area. I'm from McHenry county and am aware Chicagoland's pretty huge, but since I'm looking for a venue with a specific look and feel, I figured it'd help to be more broad in terms of location. But I guess, to narrow it down some, the western and northern suburbs and southern WI would be where I'm leaning toward.

  
  

  I really can't find anything similar to the Hays-Adams and figured someone might have some off-the-beaten-path recommendations, like restaurants or estates that fit the bill better than a banquet-type venue.
