Small/affordable venue near Brooklyn

Hi All,

Was wondering if anyone knew of any venues (just for a reception) that is intimate (for about 65 people or less) and affordable near/in nyc.. trying to keep the price down to the lower 100s if possible.  If we could something near nature/water that would be great.  We would be willing to travel to LI or NJ but trying to stay as close to Brooklyn as possible.

Thanks in advance for any and all help.

  • Hey there,

I found two you might be interested in:

One in Brooklyn, however I am not sure if it's nature (I haven't been able to visit yet), but it says it's affordable, so it won't hurt to check it out: The Old Stonehouse Museum

You will have to provide your own caterer for meals however.

    2) One in Staten Island, I believe it near nature: Old Bermuda Inn - starting costs is $55/pp, and has fully customizable wedding packages, an onsite chapel if you need one, onsite bed/breakfast and outdoor balcony:

  • I am getting married at Deity in Brooklyn

    SUPER affordable and beautifullllllllllllll

  • Hi,

I feel like telling everyone- I found a little gem on Staten Island.
We just had our wedding on September 26th at the New Dorp Moravian Hall.

They have both the Hall and the Church.  The Hall is very reasonable (it does have a kitchen, warming station, tables, and chairs) and the rental for a 4 hour party was $600 ($75 each additional hour- we added on two hours for a little extra set up and band warmup time).

Honestly, they were so nice and NO ONE has written any reviews- I want to shout it from the rooftops.

  • buckleys.com is located in Brooklyn.
not near water, but they offer a beautiful wedding and great ballroom--very good food and very nice neighborhood.  you won't get waterfront for hundreds -- impossible unless you do a restaurant by the water and have a breakfast/brunch buffet on a Sunday.
